Our ion channel assays take advantage of several detection modalities, which include (1) fluorescence dye based detection of tracer ions such as thallium or rubidium; (2) atomic absorbance spectrometry; (3) fluorescence sensor proteins and (4) automated electrophysiological recording.

As part of Center-driven research project, we are developing other tools to improve throughput of existing assay methodology and new platforms (such as label-free system) for ion channel targets.
